The Journey...

Hey there where ya headed? Seems like you have a load of luggage there. At least you have a dolly to carry it with.

This is how it seems in life that we just bag up situation after situation. Crisis after crisis. Emotion after emotion. Are your bags heavy?

I think that sometimes we need to bag things up and not go to baggage claim, just let it go. We hang onto the past with a death grip and you know what we are the ones dying.

I want to try to just narrow it down to what I really need. What I can manage without equipment. Some of our bags are so worn from the trip. We have been carrying them for so long they are ragged and falling apart.

 I want to look forward to the vastness that is ahead of me and all the opportunity that it represents and holds. If I lighten the load I can travel with a purpose in my step without growing too weary.

What could possibly be up there? Grace, Mercy, and Forgiveness? Yes all those and much more. You will also find, Joy, Hope, and Love. And not to paint a picture of a fantasy you will find trials and tribulations but you will also find a loving God who will never leave your side while you walk out the journey that He has called you to.

Come on just take the first step. Isn't is beautiful? I just know that you can do it, let go and let's start walking together, you see together we will never be alone either. We can become companions.

Sometimes now you will feel like you have just landed at the bottom and there is no hope. It's okay to take a time out and catch your breath re-cast your vision. You can do this. Stopping and falling are not the failure, not getting up and going back up the stairs is. For the victory lies just ahead and around the corner no you can't see it but have Faith and soon you will be dancing.

So my friends the choice is all yours. This is the gate of opportunity and all yours for walking through. Trust me although you just see black and white, life is full of living color and you get to carry a paint brush.
